Meet Our Family

Our Veterinarians 

Dr. Shannon Gill, DVM

Picture

Dr. Shannon Gill has been in the veterinary field since 2015. She has been part of the Fairfield family since 2018. She is the owner of Fairfield Animal Hospital. When she's not at the clinic she likes to spend time with her family and pets, go hiking, camping and horseback riding. She currently has 3 dogs, a golden retriever named Cuddles, an Irish wolfhound named Spud, and a Yorkie named Jack. She also has 3 horses and 1 pony.  Her father is also a veterinarian and being a veterinarian has always been her lifelong dream.  She is a OSU graduate of 2015.  Dr. Gill's favorite part of her job is helping pets, improving the human-animal bond, and performing surgery.   

Dr. Linda Gibson, DVM

Dr. Linda Gibson  has officially been a FAH family member since 2012, but  has done relief work with us since 2008.  She started to volunteer around the age of 16 in the veterinary field. She has known since she was in the 3rd grade that she was going to be a veterinarian. She has 3 dogs Clover, Korra, and Luther; 3 cats Diego, Rosco, and Rizzo. She also has a small flock of chickens.  Her favorite part of the job is that veterinary medicine combines her love of science and love of animals. She went to the University of Findlay for undergraduate degree and is a OSU graduate of  1997. She enjoys  dermatology and endocrine disorders, especially diabetes.

Laura

 Practice Manager
Laura has been in the veterinary field for 30 years. She has worked at Fairfield since 2018. Laura likes to spend time with her grandchildren on the family farm, and she also enjoys going horseback riding. She currently has 3 dogs a golden retriever Cuddles, an Irish wolfhound named Spud,  and a Yorkie named Jack. 

Mellie

Receptionist
Mellie has been in the veterinary field, and a part of the FAH family, since June of 2004.  In her free time she likes to read and spend time with her family.  She currently has four cats, Sophie, Marine, Tobias, and Katniss.  Mellie has always been an animal lover.  Her favorite part of the job is seeing the special bond between humans and pets. 
 

Brittany

Receptionist
​Brittany has been with Fairfield Animal Hospital since June of 2022. She does not have previous veterinary experience, but she comes with a wealth of knowledge and personality. Her favorite hobbies include spending time with her family and watching her son play sports and race his 4-wheeler. She has a dog named Charlie, an English Setter/Doodle mix who loves his family and waits for them to get home every night. Brittney started in the veterinary field because she loves animals and has always wanted to work with them since she was young. Her favorite part of the job is getting to see the animals happy and well cared for. 


Carrie

Veterinary Assistant 
Carrie has been in the veterinary field since 2016, and has been a part of the FAH family since 2021.  She likes to hangout with her family in her free time. Carrie has a blue heeler/German shepherd mix named Scout, a boarder collie named Izzy, and Red Heeler/Australian Shepherd mix named Ranger. She has 2 barn cats named Minion and Lucy, a 20 year old mini donkey named Oscar, and 2 cows named Bosco and Betsy. Carrie also has 2 silver foxes named Grim and Juliette. She has always loved animals, and her favorite part of the job is getting to play with the puppies.

 Veterinary Assistant
Dani has been in veterinary medicine for 7 years. She has also been a part of our team for all of those 7 years.  In her free time she likes to  go out to dinner, spend time with her family, and hang with her pups. She has 2 dogs, Cole and Piper who are both black lab mixes. She has always wanted to work with animals,  so when the opportunity presented itself she jumped on it. Dani went to Animal behavior college for veterinary assistant and dog training. Her favorite part of the job is working with the animals. 

Emma

Registered Veterinary Technician - RVT 
Emma has been working at Fairfield Animal Hospital and in the veterinary field since August of 2020.  In her free time she likes to read, travel, and spend time with her dogs.  Emma just graduated from college where she was studying to be a Registered Veterinary Technician.  She has two dogs - Gus, a Rottweiler/Pitbull mix and Brittani, a sassy Miniature Dachshund.  She has always loved working with animals and has known since she was young that she wanted to work in the veterinary field.  Her favorite part of the job is helping with orthopedic surgeries. 

Rebecca

Registered Veterinary Technician - RVT
Rebecca has been in the veterinary field since 2017, and she joined the FAH family in 2021. She has 2 cats, Cedar - a professional sink water drinker, and Binx - a professional ninja. She also has 2 dogs, a Pitbull named Morty and a Retriever Mix named Lemon. She graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. She is also fear free certified.  Her favorite part of the job is educating clients on the importance of their pets' health and being able to form a great client/patient relationship. 

Kerry

Veterinary Assistant
Kerry has been in the field and at FAH since 1994. She loves spending her free time with her family and friends.  She has two dogs. Fern Louise, who is a special blend of a Yorkshire Terrier, Miniature Pinscher and Jack Russell.  Fern is very sassy and has fabulous hair.  Marty Chubbs is a black and white Boston Terrier who is extremely lovable and enjoys playing with his older sister Fern. Kerry's favorite part of the job is surgery, and is amazed at what can be done to help our beloved animals.  After all these years she is still in awe of how we can better their lives. 

Katelyn

Registered Veterinary Technician - RVT
Katie has been in the animal field for about 4 years. She recently joined the FAH family and before joining us, she worked with large animals. In her free time she likes to go fishing, hunting, and hiking. She is currently attending Kent State's Vet Tech program to get her degree. She has two dogs - a Labrador Retriever named Red, and a Beagle named Tucker. She also has two cats - Remington and Ivy. She got into veterinary medicine because she loves medicine and helping animals, as well as building relationships with other people. Her favorite part of the job is meeting new people.  

Tristin

Registered Veterinary Technician - RVT
Tristin has been in the veterinary field since 2010, and she joined the FAH family in 2021. She likes to go horseback riding, camping, reading, and enjoys spending time with her family. She has 2 dogs - Cupid and Kel and a cat named Theodore. She grew up on a farm and always enjoyed caring for animals. She was the little girl that played with stuffed animals instead of dolls.  She is a  graduate from Kent State University with an associates degree in veterinary technology. Her favorite part of the job is helping animals become well and to ease their pain. 

McKenzie

Registered Veterinary Technician - RVT 
McKenzie has been in the veterinary field since 2015, and has been a part of our family here at FAH since August of 2021. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, traveling, and exploring new places in her free time. She has 2 dogs - Kane and Willow, along with a rescue cat named Lucy. McKenzie has always enjoyed working with animals since a young age and loves science and learning. She is an RVT and graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Her favorite part of this field is learning and seeing something new everyday. 

Sarah

Veterinary Assistant
Sarah joined the FAH family in March of 2022, and has been in the veterinary field since 2017. She brings an array of knowledge and skills with her. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, hiking. She has one sassy golden retriever - Milton who loves to play and go on walks. Sarah has always loved the medical field, and tried several different occupations before eventually finding her calling in the veterinary field. She especially enjoys the surgical and dental aspects of Veterinary Medicine.

Autumn

Autumn has been in the veterinary field for 3 years, but has been working with animals for the past 20 years.  She has experience in many aspects of the animal world including veterinary, boarding, daycare, training, and grooming.  Her favorite part of the job is meeting and creating a relationship with the pets and helping to ensure they leave feeling happy and healthy.  In her free time, she enjoys watching her son play sports and fishing with him.
