Fairfield Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited animal hospital for the 30th year in a row. Our staff takes so much pride in this accomplishment as it means we are continuing to provide the state-of-the-art medical care that your pet deserves. Being AAHA accredited means that we comply with a tremendous amount of guidelines to ensure that our practice is meeting standards of safety, ethics, pain management, and overall quality of care. We treat your pets with the same love, compassion, and quality of care we would want for our own.
What is AAHA?
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is the only accrediting organization for animal hospitals in the United States. The accreditation is, in fact, voluntary. Currently, only 15% of animal hospitals have been able to achieve this.
AAHA was established 1993 by leaders in the veterinary profession who believed there needed to be an ultimate standard in veterinary medicine. That mission endures today, with AAHA experts working together to improve standard of care, train animal hospital teams, and educate pet owners. All of this is done to alleviate veterinary care across the board and ensure better experiences for pets and people.
