We offer orthopedic surgeries here at FAH. Dr. Gill has been through extensive training on Veterinary Orthopedic Implants at The University of Florida. The most common orthopedic procedure in dogs is a TPLO, or Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy. This procedure is done to repair a torn CCL located in the pets knee. Dr. Gill also frequently repairs luxating patella's. This is when the knee caps slip in and out of place. Surgery can drastically improve their quality of life.
Orthopedic procedures are very invasive procedures and require intense after care that is crucial to the pets healing. We keep all orthopedic patients overnight after their procedure to ensure proper healing.

- An exam is required prior to scheduling.
- Sedated x-rays are required prior to surgery.
- An appointment is required.
- Bloodwork is required prior to surgery.
- Surgery days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Drop off is between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.
- Please allow 15 minutes to discuss surgical paperwork with a technician.
