Dr. Max M. VanBuren founded Fairfield Animal Hospital in 1992. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in
Animal Science in 1971 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1976. He's
a career long member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and
the American Veterinary Medical Association. He's also a member of
East Ohio Veterinary Medical Association. He serves on the Columbiana Area Meals on Wheels Board
and the Columbiana County Big Brothers/Big Sisters Board, having
been a mentor in it's program. He's a member of the Youngstown
Shriner's Club, the East Fairfield United Methodist Church, Ducks
Unlimited, Waterfowl USA, Delta Waterfowl, the American Chesapeake
Bay Retriever Club, and the American Scottish Highland Cattle
Association. Hobbies include reading, traveling, fishing, waterfowl photography and hunting, skeet and sporting clay shooting, boating,
snow skiing, birding, horseback riding and retriever training.
